At The Willows we think these things are really important. This is how we want our church to be. These are the foundational principles that will help us be the church God wants us to be. Here's what we mean by the phrases listed above:
· We value relationships - Relationship with God, each other, and our world.
· We value relevance - In the music we play and sing. In the sermons we preach. We want people to be challenged and at the same time refreshed and encouraged to face another week.
· We value being real - We want to be authentic people who together work through the challenges of life without pat answers and the pretense that life should be a piece of cake.
· We value being relaxed - We want to create a safe and comfortable environment where people feel free to wear what they choose, to ask the questions they want to ask, in an atmosphere that allows them to sip on a bottle of water and sit in a pair of jeans.
· We value restoration - We believe in a God who can pick up the pieces of people's lives. We seek to join God in the restoration process. As He continues to do His good work in us we want to encourage others to allow Him to do the same in them.
